Makers are invited to apply to take part in a brand-new makers’ market coming this year as part of the Spot On Lancashire Festival 2024.

Spot On Lancashire have been bringing outstanding performing arts shows to venues across the county for over 25 years. Working with community venues and libraries they attract international theatre, music and dance to team up with community promoters and make amazing things happen in every part of Lancashire. This year, Spot On Lancashire is working with partners to put on the first Spot On Festival, over the weekend of Friday 14 – Sunday 16 June in Poulton-le-Fylde.

As part of the festival Hopeful and Glorious have been invited to curate a makers market in Poulton le Fylde town centre showcasing locally made art, craft and design. The makers market will be held on Saturday 15th June and will be located in the town centre with a mix of indoor and outdoor pitches available. We’ll be confirming the venue details soon but rest assured that it will be an accessible venue in the heart of the festival activity.

The Makers Market will celebrate art, craft and design from across the region. Hopeful & Glorious will curate a showcase of around 20 artists, makers and designers who have been selected for the quality and originality of their work.

Applications will be considered on a first come -first served basis so if you are interested in this opportunity, please apply early. We will be looking for a good quality range of handmade products.

The Festival will take over the town centre with outstanding theatre, music, and dance from local, national and international artists. The carefully curated line-up promises to captivate and inspire, ensuring a memorable experience for you and your whole family. There’ll be free shows, activities and markets in the town square, as well as a Community Stage.

The Festival is being funded by Wyre Council, UKSPF-Levelling Up and Arts Council England with an array of partners making this happen including Culturapedia, Poulton-le-Fylde Community Hall, Hopeful & Glorious, Lancashire County Council, Lancashire Year of Song, Big Imaginations, Applause, the NRTF, and The Atlantic Presenters Association.

No food stalls are permitted. There will not be any electric power sockets available.

The application form asks whether we can share your details with event partners and for promotion. This is so that we can maximise the opportunity to raise the profile of makers taking part and allow makers the opportunity to take part in a range of opportunities around the festival programme.
